Extractions and Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth generally develop between the ages of 17 and 25. Unfortunately, they are prone to various problems if the gums and jawbone lack space to accommodate them.

Partially erupted wisdom teeth may cause pressure pain and gum infection and increase the risk of tooth decay and cyst formation. Most of the damage that occurs inside the mouth relates to bacteria. When a wisdom tooth grew sideway into another tooth, it creates a food trap which harbours a lot of bacteria and causes tooth decay.

If you experience any of the above problems, you may have to remove your wisdom teeth.

How Does It Work?

At Supa Dental, we examine and x-ray the mouth and the areas where wisdom teeth are located. Our dentists then take into consideration where the wisdom teeth will grow/have grown, and how they will affect the rest of your teeth. We then refer you to the correct procedures in order to ensure you receive the care and solutions necessary for you.

What Are The Benefits?

Wisdom teeth removal reduces the risk of cyst formation, and tooth infection and prevents damage to neighbouring teeth. Once wisdom teeth are removed, you don’t need to worry about them again!
