Root Canal Treatment
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is a procedure that is intended to save teeth from infections or inflamed pulp. This generally occurs when a cavity is left untreated and bacteria infects the inside of your tooth. This can also occur if your tooth becomes damaged or cracked due to trauma. The process includes removing the damaged pulp from the tooth, cleaning and then filling the tooth.
Root canals can also help with sensitivity and pain while biting or chewing.
A Root Canal is completed in three stages:
- Removal of infection and dead nerve
- The canals are cleaned and shaped for preparation
- Using an inert filling material, the canal is filled.

How Does It Work?
The treatment depends on your root canal’s infection extent or complexity but it is a general very straight forward and simple procedure.
